Most often because they contain different numbers of books. The five study-only references are frequently sold as a separate add-on rather than included in the advertised package, so the price you see and the price of a complete set are two different numbers. Ask any school for its full list of titles and count it against the state list before you compare prices.

It is a name some schools give the five books the state lists as suggested study only — the ones that may not be carried into the testing room. The exam still asks questions from that material. Sold separately they typically add several hundred dollars to the advertised package price. Ours are included.

Yes. The whole program is open as a free demo with no payment and no obligation. Work through the lectures, the study questions, the flash cards and a practice exam, then decide. Most Florida exam prep schools do not publish a demo, so the only way to judge those programs is to buy one first.

Continually. Every examination contains five new questions, called pilot questions, and the emphasis and content of the exam today is not what it was six months ago. That is why our material is continuously updated to current exam requirements rather than printed once and restocked.

The state normally specifies the required books in six-month increments, and modifies the list at will to accommodate changes in reference book versions and availability. Because of that, you should not buy books or learning material unless you are able to prepare for and sit your exams within the state's current six-month window.

No. You retake only the sections you did not pass. All sections must be passed within four years of your first attempt.

One copy of each permitted reference, bound and staying bound throughout. Highlighting and underlining in pen or highlighter are allowed. Hand-written and typed notes are not, and any existing notes must be blacked out or removed. Moveable tabs such as sticky flags are not allowed, though printed tabs attached to the pages are. Writing tablets and electronic tablets are not permitted.

Most students invest somewhere between fifty and sixty hours. The examination is open book, so the work is not memorising — it is learning where the answers live and being able to find them quickly under time pressure.

The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation contracts Professional Testing, Inc. to develop and score the examinations. The Business and Finance examination and other computer-based examinations are delivered by Pearson VUE at test centres around the state. Check your current candidate information for which format applies to the examination you are sitting.
